The demand for healthcare is being transformed as world demographics change. With an increasingly ageing population, the need for medical products and devices is constantly increasing. Thanks to a high level of reinvestment in R&D and innovation, the annual growth rate of the medical devices market is approximately 9%, allowing it to meet world demand for medical instrumentation.
Medtec is intended for engineers, decision-makers and managers involved in the design and manufacture of all medical devices. Conferences will examine the technical, regulatory and quality issues related to these devices which have an impact on their development.
Medtec represents the second largest medical devices market in Europe.
The first French version of the show which was held in Besançon in April 2009 was incredibly successful with 230 exhibitors presenting their products and know-how to 2,916 decision-makers from the medical devices industry.
The show's objectives were reached from the outset since 84% of visitors in 2009 were engineers from French-speaking R&D, Quality and Production departments.
